Britney Spears was one of my childhood idols. She could sing, dance, dress well, and act. Well...that was my opinion when I was 10 and obsessed with Crossroads. Over the years her shaved head, failed marriages, child abuse, and all around trashy behavior has left a bad taste in my mouth. She should have stopped a long time ago so her old fan could remember her as a pop icon, not garbage. But she just couldn't stop and now it is worse than ever. Her new song "Hold it Against Me" makes her lack luster vocals so obvious and knowing her age, just really uncomfortable. So Brit, please stop and let me remember when I loved you during "Baby One More Time" days.

ReplyDelete...just kidding, I agree with you. How old is she now, 40? I still add her to every playlist I make with "Hit me One more Time" and "Oops I did it again", but I'm not really a fan of her new stuff either.
Awww, I liked this post! I completely agree with you. She went from "hawt" to "hot sex". I can't whole-heartedly complain about her newer music though since...it is good clubbing music. That's pretty much it though :P

So completely true. When I saw this video all I could think was what happened to her? I used to look up to her and love her music. Can't say I really do anymore. I think she needs to focus on being a mother and move on with her life.
